Your stop tap (also called a stop cock) is the valve that turns your water supply off. It's usually under the kitchen sink, sometimes in a downstairs toilet or cupboard. If it's seized, leaking, or broken, you can't isolate the water in an emergency, and that's a problem.
We'll replace it with a modern quarter-turn lever valve that's easier to operate and won't seize. The old gate valves (the ones with a rotating handle) are notorious for seizing after years of not being used. The new ones have a ball valve inside and turn 90 degrees to shut off.
There's no call-out fee when you book with us. We'll isolate the water at the boundary stop cock, fit the new valve, test it, and you're done. Our 12-month guarantee is included with our membership plan.
